Meditation give us ‘headspace’ and ‘heartspace’. It allows a natural unfolding of our true creative Self. There is no better time to get started as a Beginner or Improver.

Meditation brings a sense of expanded awareness improving creativity, sense of wellbeing and the contentment of joy. Meditation helps us reach our potential to be the best version of ourself possible.
And, meditation reduces conditions of stress such as anxiety or depression because it aids in secretion of our natural feel good hormones.
Endorphins are produced by the central nervous system to help us deal with physical pain
Serotonin regulates mood, social behavior, appetite, digestion, sleep, memory. It calms the nervous system and relaxes muscles to increase resilience to improve body and brain health
Dopamine functions as a neurotransmitter—a chemical released by nerve cells to send signals to other nerve cells. The brain includes several distinct dopamine pathways, one of which plays a major role in the motivational component of reward-motivated behaviour
OxytocinIn acts as a chemical messenger and has been shown to be important in human behaviours including sexual arousal, recognition, trust, anxiety and mother/infant bonding. As a result, oxytocin has been called the ‘love hormone’ or ‘cuddle chemical’..
What will I learn?
Patience comes from practise. This may take the form of standing, sitting or lying down, observing the movements of the mind whether in a chair, on the floor or resting at home in bed. Over the weeks you will be introduced to methods of movement of breath, pranayama, movement of the hands, mudras, movement of sound mantra, movement of the body, asana. As well as:
Yoga Nidra invites us to allow and welcome all that arises in consciousness such as movements of the mind like judgement, anxiety, pleasure or pain. Yoga Nidra teaches us loving kindness, compassion and humility for all life. Yoga Nidra teaches that we are not ‘broken’ and to welcome the bigger truth that we are all infinitely eternal and whole.
Techniques like the above help to quieten the mind so as to become a witness, an observer rather than overwhelmed by a naturally over-stimulated mind.
Breathing is most naturally favoured as pathway to reveal much about the way the mind works and how the body feels. This may be combined with gentle slow yoga movements or practised alone. By breathing more fully and completely the body becomes agile and supple, the brain more healthy and the mind becomes more calm.
Posture will be lead with meditation in motion. There will also be an invitation to a gentle yet powerful flow of Qi Gong. Postures are designed to improve breathing, circulation and to balance physical and mental activity so you may receiving the gifts of free flow of your vital life force.Improved posture builds confidence, develops strength and resilience in the nervous system to reduce stress, increases mobility, range of motion and balance and flexibility both in the body and the mind.
I had terrible fear about my health and body. Meditation helped me cope with anxiety. I am at last beginning to trust that I can be happy inside my body and at peace in my mind.
