This Eco house was designed and built as a family residence. The owner is passionate about the healing power of yoga and decided to open her yoga studio and offer the house as a self-catering venue for small exclusive yoga groups.
Accommodation is varied and includes two luxurious double bedded Yurts, think ‘glamping’, sleeping beneath the stars under canvas, an invitation for the adventurous to slumber close to nature. In the house there are several more bedrooms including one ensuite double with balcony and a separate apartment that can accommodate up to three.
Kathryn it was lovely to receive your amazing gifts of yoga on the Glastonbury Weekend. I had no idea I would be so profoundly moved by the Retreat. I didn’t even turn on the radio driving home. I wanted that deep peaceful feeling to last and last, Thank you.
Glastonbury Retreat offers on site is a hot tub for a relaxing time to socialise with friends, and decking around the property for yoga practice and for outside dining when the weather supports the Al Fresco experience.
I’m surprised to find the effects and the power of what we experienced on retreat are real and present in my daily activity since my return; I’m motivated (most mornings) to get up and practice for a short time before the house wakes and the busyness of life takes over. I’m noticing the effects of my diet following the lovingly prepared fresh vegetarian feast we were served every day. Weirdly, for me, unconsciously not consuming vast quantities of tea and craving little sweetness in my diet. Subtle changes. Just noticing.
I have immense gratitude for the experience I shared with a lovely group of individuals with a common interest and to you Kathryn, for providing the opportunity to share your practice and wisdom with us.
